How to Get Around

•Access: The summit is reached by a cable car from Schwägalp. The journey takes about 10 minutes.

•With TripTransfer: Direct transfer to the cable car station in Schwägalp.

Parking:

•There is a large free car park at the station in Schwägalp.

Visitor Tips

1.Check the webcam. Before you go, check the webcam at the summit to make sure there is good visibility.

2.Wear warm clothes. Even in summer, it can be cold and windy at the top.

3.Go early in the morning. To avoid the crowds and enjoy the clearest views.

4.Combine with a visit to Appenzell. The region is extremely beautiful and worth exploring.

5.Book for the full moon. If you have the opportunity, the full moon tour is a unique experience.
