Morning Departure from Geneva – The Road to the Alps

Your English-speaking driver will pick you up directly from your hotel in Geneva. As you leave the lake behind, the journey unfolds through vineyards, meadows, and alpine valleys, gradually revealing the mountains of the Bernese Oberland.

After around three hours, you’ll arrive in Grindelwald, a postcard-perfect mountain village where your alpine adventure begins. Here, the air is crisp, the peaks feel close enough to touch, and the famous Eiger North Face towers dramatically above the valley. Take a brief walk through the village, grab a coffee, or photograph the views before beginning your ascent.

Midday – Ascending to Jungfraujoch, The Top of Europe

From Grindelwald Terminal, board the Eiger Express, the ultramodern cable car that glides past waterfalls, glaciers, and meadows in just 15 minutes. Arriving at the Eigergletscher station, transfer to the historic Jungfrau Railway, which climbs through tunnels carved inside the mountain itself.

As the train emerges into daylight at 3,454 meters, you find yourself standing at the Top of Europe. The Sphinx Observatory offers a 360° panorama — endless snowfields, the vast Aletsch Glacier, and peaks that stretch into Italy and France.

Inside the Ice Palace, walk through tunnels carved in crystal-blue ice, admire sculptures, and feel the heart of the glacier beneath your feet. You’ll have plenty of free time to explore, take photos, or simply breathe in the high-altitude stillness.

Optional lunch or dessert at the Top of Europe Restaurant — a glass-walled dining space above the clouds. Before descending, stop by the Lindt Chocolate Heaven, a boutique dedicated to Switzerland’s most famous export.

Afternoon Descent & Return to Geneva

After your alpine adventure, descend back to Grindelwald via the Eiger Express — the changing light reveals a new perspective of the valley and glaciers. Your driver will be waiting to welcome you for the comfortable return journey to Geneva.

The route back winds through alpine villages and rolling farmland, reaching the calm of Lake Geneva by evening. By the end of the day, you will have traveled from city to summit — from diplomacy to the roof of Europe.
