      Full Tour Description

Your journey begins in Lausanne, where your private driver greets you at your hotel. The route follows the tranquil shores of Lake Geneva, climbs past the Lavaux Vineyards, and heads north through the Bernese countryside toward the high Alps. As the landscape shifts from gentle hills to towering peaks, you’ll reach the alpine village of Grindelwald, gateway to the Jungfrau region and one of Switzerland’s most iconic destinations.

In Grindelwald, there’s time for a short village stroll before your ascent to the Top of Europe begins. You’ll board the modern Eiger Express cable car, which glides in just 15 minutes to Eigergletscher Station, perched below the Eiger’s famous north face. From here, the Jungfrau Railway takes over — a century-old engineering marvel that climbs through tunnels carved into solid rock. Each viewing stop inside the mountain offers a glimpse of the surrounding glaciers through glass windows built directly into the cliffs.

At the summit station, Jungfraujoch (3,454 m), the world changes completely. The air is crisp and thin, the silence immense, and the views stretch over the Aletsch Glacier, a 22-kilometer river of ice. On the Sphinx Observation Terrace, you’ll stand between the sky and snowfields, seeing peaks of Italy, France, and Germany on a clear day.

Inside the mountain, you can explore the Ice Palace, where sculptures glisten in blue light, and the Alpine Sensation, an interactive tunnel celebrating the railway’s construction. There’s time for lunch or coffee at one of the summit restaurants, where even a simple meal feels extraordinary at this altitude.

After about three hours at the top, you’ll begin your descent via the same route — the train winding through the Eiger, emerging again into sunlight at Grindelwald. Your driver will be waiting to greet you for the comfortable return to Lausanne, following panoramic alpine roads back to Lake Geneva.

By the time you arrive, you’ll have crossed almost all of Switzerland’s natural zones in a single day — from the vineyards by the lake to the eternal snows of the Jungfrau — a vertical journey through beauty and history.
