Full Tour Description

Your driver will greet you in Zug, and soon you’ll leave behind the lakeside calm for the alpine drama of the Bernese Oberland. The route takes you through scenic valleys and along mirrorlike lakes before climbing toward Interlaken, the gateway to Switzerland’s most famous peaks.

In Interlaken, you’ll have time to explore both lakes — Thun to the west and Brienz to the east — each reflecting a different shade of blue. The town’s name literally means “between the lakes,” and from the Höhematte Park, you can see the mighty Jungfrau rising in the distance. Take a gentle stroll, browse local chocolate or watch paragliders glide silently over the rooftops. For those who want a view from above, a short ride up to Harder Kulm (optional, weather permitting) reveals an extraordinary panorama over the lakes and the snow-capped Bernese Alps.

Next, your journey continues to Lauterbrunnen, a narrow valley carved by glaciers and lined with waterfalls that seem to fall from the sky. The Staubbach Falls, nearly 300 meters high, create a silver veil visible from the village center. If time allows, you may visit the Trümmelbach Falls, a UNESCO-recognized natural wonder where ten waterfalls thunder inside the mountain — accessible by tunnel lifts and walkways. Few places on earth capture the raw essence of alpine power like Lauterbrunnen.

The final leg brings you to Grindelwald, a lively mountain resort embraced by steep green slopes and the icy wall of the Eiger North Face. Here, wooden chalets, flower balconies, and the distant hum of cowbells create a scene straight from a Swiss postcard. You’ll have time to walk through the village, enjoy a coffee with a glacier view, or, depending on the season, take the First Gondola for a quick taste of alpine adventure.

As the afternoon turns to evening, your driver will take you back toward Zug, following panoramic roads with changing light over the mountains and valleys. The day ends as it began — surrounded by beauty — but with a new sense of awe for Switzerland’s alpine soul.
