Full Tour Description

Departing from Zug, your private driver takes you on a comfortable journey through rolling Swiss landscapes toward Zurich, a city that effortlessly blends tradition with innovation. After about an hour’s drive, you’ll reach Zurich’s Old Town, a place where every street corner holds a fragment of history. Here, between the Limmat River and the lake, you’ll stroll past Renaissance guild houses, art galleries, and open squares filled with cafés and street musicians.

Visit the Grossmünster, a twin-towered landmark founded by Charlemagne, and the Fraumünster, world-famous for its stained-glass windows by Marc Chagall. Walk along Bahnhofstrasse, home to Swiss watchmakers, designer boutiques, and chocolate shops. Then, relax by Lake Zurich, where the city opens to the Alps — a perfect place for photos or an optional short boat cruise.

After lunch or coffee at one of the lakefront restaurants, your trip continues north toward Schaffhausen. The scenery transforms — hills give way to vineyards and forests as you approach the thundering Rhine Falls.

Standing before the waterfall, you’ll witness the sheer power of the Rhine as it surges 23 meters down over a 150-meter-wide limestone ledge. More than 600,000 liters of water per second tumble past — a spectacle both mesmerizing and humbling. Walk to the viewing decks for the best perspective, or if time and season permit, take a short boat ride that brings you within meters of the foaming water. Above, the medieval Schloss Laufen offers panoramic terraces and a small exhibition about the falls’ natural history.

After experiencing the beauty and force of nature, you’ll begin your relaxing drive back to Zug, returning by evening as the light reflects off the city’s lake — a perfect circle of calm after a day of motion and discovery.
