Zurich to Grindelwald & Jungfrau – Journey to the Top of Europe

From there, you’ll board the historic Jungfrau Railway, which continues its climb through tunnels inside the Eiger and Mönch mountains before emerging high above the clouds at Jungfraujoch (3,454 m).

Inside the station, you can explore the Ice Palace, a labyrinth of frozen tunnels carved into ancient glacier ice, or walk to the Sphinx Terrace, one of the highest observatories in the world. From here, the view stretches across the Aletsch Glacier, a river of ice flowing between peaks and valleys.

You’ll have time to explore, take photos, and even enjoy a meal at one of the panoramic restaurants before descending the same route. On the way down, the landscape changes again — glaciers fade into forests, then pastures, then calm valleys filled with the sound of cowbells.
