Full Tour Description

Your private driver will collect you in Zurich in the early morning, and the journey begins toward the Bernese Oberland — Switzerland’s crown of alpine scenery. After passing Lucerne and the shimmering lakes of Central Switzerland, the road winds into the mountains, where peaks rise sharply and valleys grow deeper.

Your first destination is Interlaken, perfectly placed between Lake Brienz and Lake Thun. The name literally means “between the lakes,” and from the first moment you arrive, the balance between water and mountain is breathtaking. Stroll through Höhematte Park, where paragliders land softly on the grass, and admire the distant Jungfrau, Mönch, and Eiger peaks that dominate the skyline. This is also the perfect place for a coffee stop or light snack before continuing deeper into the mountains.

The drive to Grindelwald follows one of the most scenic roads in Switzerland, climbing gently through forests and meadows into the shadow of the Eiger. Once there, you’ll step into a postcard come to life — chalets, alpine flowers, and the constant presence of glacial air. Walk along the village promenade for picture-perfect views of First Mountain and the Wetterhorn, or visit local craft shops for handmade Swiss souvenirs. If time allows, your driver can take you on a short detour to the Glacier Gorge (Gletscherschlucht), a natural canyon carved by centuries of ice and water.

From Grindelwald, you descend into the enchanting Lauterbrunnen Valley, often described as one of the most beautiful places on Earth. The valley floor is a narrow green corridor hemmed in by cliffs that rise nearly 300 meters high — from which countless waterfalls plunge in ribbons of silver. The most famous, Staubbach Falls, can be seen right from the village. If you wish, continue to the Trümmelbach Falls, a series of glacial waterfalls hidden inside the mountain, accessible by elevator and tunnels (approx. 1-hour visit).

After exploring the valley, your journey back to Zurich begins with panoramic stops along Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, offering one final look at the Bernese Alps glowing in the afternoon light. This scenic return completes a day filled with contrasts — calm lakes, wild waterfalls, and serene alpine villages that together form the true heartbeat of Switzerland.
