Lucerne to Interlaken & Grindelwald – Gateway to the Jungfrau Region

Your private driver will greet you in Lucerne, and the journey begins through the scenic landscapes of Central Switzerland. Leaving the city, you follow the A8 motorway through the green valleys of Obwalden, passing Lake Sarnen and the turquoise waters of Lake Lungern — one of Switzerland’s most iconic viewpoints.

The road continues over the Brünig Pass (1,008 m), a historic alpine crossing, before descending toward Lake Brienz, known for its striking “Brienz Blue” color. Driving along the northern shore, you pass the charming village of Iseltwald before continuing toward the Alps.

Your first stop is Grindelwald, a mountain village set beneath the dramatic Eiger North Face. You will have approximately four hours to explore.

Included in the price: First Cable Car & Cliff Walk by Tissot – a panoramic 25-minute ascent offering breathtaking views of glaciers, peaks, and alpine meadows.

After your time in Grindelwald, the journey continues down the valley to Interlaken, located between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. Here you can enjoy a short stop — stroll along Höheweg, relax with a coffee or take in the views toward Jungfrau, Mönch and Eiger.

In the afternoon, your driver will meet you for the return to Lucerne, following the same scenic route. Optional photo stops are possible along the way, especially at Lake Lungern.

By the end of the day, you’ll have experienced a complete journey through Switzerland’s alpine heart — from lakes and valleys to high mountain peaks.
