Full Tour Description

Your private TripTransfer.ch experience begins in Zermatt, the car-free alpine village nestled beneath the Matterhorn. You’ll start the morning with a short 12-minute shuttle train to Täsch, where your chauffeur will meet you in a comfortable private vehicle.

From Täsch, the route follows the Rhone Valley, one of Switzerland’s most scenic drives. The road winds past ancient castles, green meadows, and mountain streams before entering the Bernese Oberland — a region famous for its lakes and high peaks. As you pass Spiez and Interlaken, your driver may stop briefly for photos of Lake Thun or the Niesen Pyramid Mountain reflected in the water.

Upon reaching Grindelwald, surrounded by the iconic Eiger North Face, you’ll begin your ascent to the Jungfraujoch via the new Eiger Express cableway. This state-of-the-art gondola glides silently above glaciers and cliffs, reaching Eigergletscher in just 15 minutes. From there, board the Jungfrau Railway, a Swiss engineering marvel that tunnels through the Eiger and Mönch mountains to reach the highest train station in Europe.

At 3,454 meters above sea level, you’ll step out into a world of ice, light, and silence. The Sphinx Observatory offers panoramic views over the Aletsch Glacier, while the Ice Palace invites you into frozen tunnels sculpted from crystal-clear ice. You’ll have time to explore the exhibits, visit the Lindt Chocolate Heaven, and enjoy a warm meal surrounded by snow peaks.

After this once-in-a-lifetime experience, descend back to Grindelwald, where your chauffeur will be waiting for the scenic drive back through the Bernese countryside and the Rhône Valley to Täsch, then onward to Zermatt by train.

By evening, you’ll return to the Matterhorn valley — with memories of standing at the literal Top of Europe.
