Full Tour Description

Morning Departure from Bern – Toward the Mountains

Your driver will pick you up from your hotel in Bern early in the morning for a scenic drive into the heart of Switzerland. Within an hour, the gentle hills around the capital begin to rise into the grand silhouettes of the Bernese Alps.

The road leads to Interlaken, a resort town perfectly set between two shimmering lakes — Thun and Brienz. Here, you’ll spend about two hours strolling through Höhematte Park, watching paragliders descend against the backdrop of the snow-capped Jungfrau. Take a walk along Höheweg Boulevard, lined with boutique stores and elegant cafés, or enjoy coffee near the lake.

Your driver will take you on a short panoramic route along Lake Brienz and Lake Thun, including a stop at Iseltwald, a small fairytale village on the water’s edge. The reflections of the mountains in the turquoise lake make it one of the most photographed spots in Switzerland.

Midday Adventure – Lauterbrunnen Valley & Trümmelbach Falls

Leaving Interlaken behind, the road gently climbs toward Lauterbrunnen, a valley that looks almost unreal in its beauty. Towering cliffs rise on both sides, and waterfalls tumble down in thin silver lines. This is the Valley of 72 Waterfalls — a place that feels half dream, half painting.

Your first stop will be the Trümmelbach Falls, hidden inside the rock itself. A small lift and walkway lead you deep into the mountain, where glacier water from the Jungfrau thunders through tunnels and caves. The roar of the water echoes in the stone — a natural symphony that humbles every visitor. You’ll spend about an hour exploring the caves and platforms before returning to the open air, where the sound of rushing water still lingers in your ears.

Afterwards, take a short walk through Lauterbrunnen village, set beneath the famous Staubbach Falls — a 297-meter free-falling waterfall that catches the sunlight like glass. Wooden chalets, alpine flowers, and the soft chime of cowbells create a sense of stillness that’s hard to find anywhere else. Stop for a drink or a few photos before heading toward the next alpine highlight.

Afternoon in Grindelwald – Peaks and Peace

From Lauterbrunnen, your journey continues to Grindelwald, a beautiful mountain village surrounded by snow-covered peaks. The drive takes about 30 minutes and passes through forests, pastures, and small hamlets where the Alps feel close enough to touch.

Upon arrival, the landscape opens — a wide valley framed by the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau peaks. You’ll have around two hours to enjoy Grindelwald at your own pace.

Take a walk through the village center, where boutique shops sell handmade goods and the scent of roasted coffee drifts through the air. Your driver can take you to panoramic viewpoints overlooking the Eiger North Face, perfect for photos and quiet moments of admiration.

If you’d like to explore further, you can ride the Grindelwald First cable car for sweeping views of the Alps, or visit the Glacier Gorge (Gletscherschlucht) — a narrow canyon with turquoise water running beneath steel walkways.

Or simply sit back at a café terrace, enjoy dessert or a drink, and watch paragliders drifting silently above the valley. Grindelwald offers a balance of energy and serenity — an Alpine village that captures everything Switzerland is loved for.

Evening Return to Bern – Through the Golden Alps

As the afternoon light softens, your driver will begin the return journey to Bern. The road winds along lakes and valleys, glowing in the warm colors of sunset. The silence of the mountains settles in as you leave the peaks behind — a peaceful close to a day filled with water, air, and stone.

You’ll arrive back in Bern in the evening, carrying with you the calm, clarity, and quiet wonder of the Swiss Alps.
